Quickly design customized lessons to meet all your student's needs. The lesson generator is completely customizable. Despite the programs rich feature set and limitless lesson possibilities, it's remarkably easy to use. Quickly adjust the note range and speed with the intuitive easy to use interface. Just launch Musical Space Invaders and off you go. Shoot the notes down as they fly across the screen pressing the correct piano key. There are plenty of sounds and special effects to help you have fun along the way. Pick and choose the bells and whistles you want and don't want.
Main Screen:

- Click on the Start/Stop button to begin the game.
- Play the note on the piano or midi keyboard as it moves by.
- If the note matches, the laser will shoot it down.
- Click on the "Notes" button to bring up the Note Range window.
- Click on the "Setup" button to bring up the Game Setup window.
- Click on the Player’s name to add or remove player’s names from the game.
Note Range Window:

- Open the "Note Range" window by clicking on the "Start/Stop" button at the top of the main screen.
- Select a lesson from the "Notes" dropdown list.
- Modify the current lesson by checking on the notes you want to add or remove from the list.
- Toggle between "Bass" and "Treble" clef by selecting the tab at the top of the window.
- Click on the "Save Note Setup As…" button to title and save a custom note setup.
- Click on the "Update Note Setup" button to update the current list.
- Click on the "Delete Note Setup…" button to remove a lesson from the list.
- Click on the "Eraser" button to clear the selected notes.
- Note: The unregistered version of this program will not allow you to modify or create note lists.
Game Setup Window:

- Open the "Game Setup" window by clicking on the "Setup" button at the top of the main screen.
- Adjust the Note Speed value by moving the "Note Speed" slider. Lower numbers mean faster speeds.
- Adjust the Notes To Play value by moving the "Notes To Play" slider. The current game ends when this number is reached. This value is indicated by the small red progress bar on the bottom of the main screen.
- Adjust the Shots To Shoot value by moving the "Shots To Shoot" slider. The current game will terminate when this number is expired. This value is indicated by the small blue progress bar on the bottom of the main screen.
- To add remove and select players from the current player list, click on the "Players" tab at the top of the window
- To modify sounds and visual effects, select the "General" tab at the top of the page.
Midi Setup:

- Select the "Midi Setup…" menu from the "View Menu"
- Check the "Midi In Enabled" button to use an external midi keyboard
- Make sure you select the correct "Midi In Device" from the dropdown list. This list will be empty if the appropriate software is not installed on your computer.
- Select the correct Midi Channel from the radio buttons. Channel 1 is recommended.

- You can still use this program without a midi keyboard.
- Select the correct Midi Out Device from the dropdown list
- Select the instrument you want to play from the Instrument dropdown list.
- Click on the "Test Note" button to test your system
